Altered box with Magnolia

The box was originally a chocolate box. I just recyled it by Covering  it  with DP  ,coloured the stamps with copics,added sum lace , strings ,  flowers , twigs and finally I just dabbed in  sum distresss inks.I made this for a friend who is returning to her home country after a long stint in dubai.She is a crafter too and she loves to create things frm scrap .she is very special to me and also to everyone who knows her !I cldnt post closeups bcos of slow connectivity ! I wld do so in the coming days .

whiff of joy-bday card

I was given a stamped image of this cute lil mouse carrying a cup cake long time ago by my friend susan which i coloured it with copics.I stamped  the background with heroarts stamps ,used ditress inks and added faux stiches to complete this card.I just love this card  and hope u all do !

Magnolia me and copics

Its been a while since I posted sumthing on my blog bcos FB seems to take over blogging .I have now promised my self to  2 posts a month.I hope  to keep up  the promise.
Off late I have fallen in love with magnolia stamps esp Little Tilda. I am sure most of u wld agree with me ,Isnt she lovely? I have been stamping and colouring using copics .I   will be posting  the pics soon.

we just had an international swap by the emirates quilling guild organised by amna our quilling host.We had abt 30 quilling artists participating .Ill be also  posting pics of the swap soon ,once amna recieves ,sorts and reposts them all to us!It was fun making them though the numbers were a bit high !iam just waiting to see what everyone has come up with !and hope they like mine toooooooooooooo!

During my vacation in India I managed to do some scrap booking for the family!It was fun doing it but suppiles were limited or I shld say nuthing was availabe .

Birthday and ARTE

Been busy lately with my daughters bday party and ofcourse  preparing forARTE-a local art and craft fair -which is a wonderful platform for all things handmade .Its my first time at ARTE and i shld say it went on well.Wld i do it again hmmmmm may be ?At this point of time iam not sure if ill do it again-one needs a lot of time to get things ready!
well its time to start doing things again for sweetsketch and other challenges in the coming weeks.....

i leave u all with a  sample of  my tag i made for ARTE.I just love this tag .I used distress inks -prima paper coll -prima crocheted butterfly ,readymade  heart diecuts,hero arts stamp and ofcourse my own quilled roses as embellishment.Love u mom.....................

Arlanas new layout simple yet i found it a lil tricky with teh circles.didnt like the way the card turned out -nevertheless,iam taking part in this challenge .
