MatchBox chest of Draws

 I have been saving up the empty match boxes for a while and tht  chest of draws wld be good to put in sum extra notes or journaling  when  i make a mini album or   wld  use them on the  timholtz configuration boxes .I started out by sticking all the four matchboxes by stacking them and using  a strong glue . covered them using prima DPs first,the second layer was made using paper sticky tapes.
I stuck the papertapes on to the table dabbed sum paint using dabbers { gold and yellow} and when   the paint dried i stamped them  .just tear them off the table and start sticking them randomly on to box.I distessed thebox with vintage photo and fired brick stains and finished it off by adding sum timholtz brads!

Quilled vintage box!

Happy newyear everyone!hope we all get crafty in the newyear and this is my first post for 2012 and I hope to get more crafty ! I covered the box with some DPs  frm  my stash{ i think they are prima papers} and recyled sum of the prima packaging papers for the top! . I quilled the  flowers and arranged then in a 3D fashion, sprayed some glimmer mist just to get that misty effect !and finally added sum laces to make it vintage.

Altered box with Magnolia

The box was originally a chocolate box. I just recyled it by Covering  it  with DP  ,coloured the stamps with copics,added sum lace , strings ,  flowers , twigs and finally I just dabbed in  sum distresss inks.I made this for a friend who is returning to her home country after a long stint in dubai.She is a crafter too and she loves to create things frm scrap .she is very special to me and also to everyone who knows her !I cldnt post closeups bcos of slow connectivity ! I wld do so in the coming days .

whiff of joy-bday card

I was given a stamped image of this cute lil mouse carrying a cup cake long time ago by my friend susan which i coloured it with copics.I stamped  the background with heroarts stamps ,used ditress inks and added faux stiches to complete this card.I just love this card  and hope u all do !

Magnolia me and copics

Its been a while since I posted sumthing on my blog bcos FB seems to take over blogging .I have now promised my self to  2 posts a month.I hope  to keep up  the promise.
Off late I have fallen in love with magnolia stamps esp Little Tilda. I am sure most of u wld agree with me ,Isnt she lovely? I have been stamping and colouring using copics .I   will be posting  the pics soon.

we just had an international swap by the emirates quilling guild organised by amna our quilling host.We had abt 30 quilling artists participating .Ill be also  posting pics of the swap soon ,once amna recieves ,sorts and reposts them all to us!It was fun making them though the numbers were a bit high !iam just waiting to see what everyone has come up with !and hope they like mine toooooooooooooo!

During my vacation in India I managed to do some scrap booking for the family!It was fun doing it but suppiles were limited or I shld say nuthing was availabe .
